VISITORS TO OUR WEBSITE – ANALYTICS

When someone visits www.autismassessmentswales.org we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be explicit about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

THE PERIOD OF DATA RETENTION

Following completion of your project, we retain your personal data, assessment data and report for 7 years, or until the age of 25 for child or young person.  The legal basis of our holding your personal data is for contract administration. If after the 24 month period there is no longer a contractual relationship your data will be removed.

DATA AMENDMENTS

Upon receiving a request from you to update, correct or amend your personal data held by Dr Rebecca Williams, we will make the amendments within a period of 7 days from the date that the request was received.

SECURITY

We are committed to taking appropriate measures designed to keep your data secure.  All computer equipment that contains client information is password or biometrically protected and is regularly scanned for viruses and malware.  Our processes are designed to protect your data from loss, theft, misuse and accidental, unlawful or unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, use and destruction.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR), individuals have significantly strengthened rights to:

  • Obtain details about how their data are processed by an organisation or business
  • Obtain copies of personal data that an organisation holds on them
  • Have incorrect or incomplete data corrected
